This whole series of books is just wonderful. Pick a topic that your child is or might be inteterested in and these books draw them right in. My son has been reading them since second grade (end of third now) and he still anxiously awaits them as I buy new. They are by far his favorite series and in my opinion so much better than the other silly/gross/obnoxious series out there.
My son loves these books. He greatly enjoyed learning more about Ali and his rise as an athlete. I would recommend this series for any child who enjoys reading non-fiction!

Adult coloring books I think of are one the greatest inventions of this century and I love the little intricacies in the designs around the Psalms in this book and it reinforces the Bible verse while coloring.When you color in the design your have the power/decision to choose the color or medium you want to use and color in the spaces. While there are endless interpretations, in the end, as long as you stay inside the lines you are going to end up with a picture that is frame-worthy if you chose to do so.As there are many small details, it is geared to adults or older children with the patience to fill in the small spaces and it might be too frustrating for young children or people who are more "big picture" types and low on patience. If you see that happening with a coloring book they are using, sometime recommending just using one or two colors and don't worry about the details can get them back into a more stress-free mode.
This is beautiful. Lovely verses and attractive pages to color. Have both 0.5 and 0.7 pens. Fine parts of pics you will want extra fine pens.
Wish the designs didn't repeat but the work itself is beautiful. Love the psalms. I'd add the bible "addresses" if I were putting out this book.

Has some useful information. I'd recommend this to someone who wants to learn how to defend themselves. Just remember reading and doing are two different things. However this should help you should the need arise. Remember to fight dirty and take out the vitals to disrupt your opponent in a street fight. The bridge of the nose on a headbutt. The sack to bring a big tall guy to his knees. The temple for unconsciousness and equilibrium disruption. The eyes if someone gets ahold of you.
This is a great book on basic fighting techniques. At age 64, retired Airborne Ranger Infantryman, I’ve been practicing martial arts since junior high. I subscribe to the philosophy of mastering a few techniques. The book has excellent diagrams, not pictures, of all discussed techniques. “Keep it simple†applies to the techniques discussed. Whether you are an experienced fighter or a novice you will learn from the book.
Great book on street fight. There are plenty of great illustration available in this book, with right amount of details to quickly understand each moves.I bought to learn self defense. Recently gifted 2 of my friend and they were also amazed reading this. Would recommend this.
A very good book that helps you prepare and give you confidence to handle a violent encounter with evil.
This is garbage, pure and simple. A couple of moves which might work, coupled with generic BS. A free lesson at the neighborhood martial arts center would better prepare you than this book.
The first time I've learned about street fighting from a book. I was a bit skeptical at first, but purchased it anyway based on the price. And I was pleasantly surprised. Although it would take some practice to execute several of these moves with success and a fair amount of luck, there are some that could definitely save your butt. If you haven't read anything on this subject, than read this, and live to fight another day!
