Review
In the pages of "Fairy Village," readers will step into the world of fairies and little folk like never before with and unprecedented collection of magical miniature scenes and objects made entirely from moss, bark, flowers, and other objects found in nature. The collaborative project of Debbie and Mike Schramer, "Fairy Village," is the highly-anticipated follow up to their first volume, "Fairy House," and features full-color photography of beautifully crafted whimsical scenes, including a bakery, a clock makers shop, small boutiques, a village pavilion, charming homes, and unbelievable living areas. A compendium of exquisite illustrations, anthropological notes on fairies and their ways, and Victorian era art "Fairy Village" is a lushly illustrated artistic treasure complete with a particularly stunning gatefold displays the full enchanting village. Inherently fascinating from cover to cover, "Fairy Village" is unique and enthusiastically recommended for personal and community library collections. --James A. Cox "Midwest Book Review "

The Schramer's bring to life a brilliant, magical, artistic, unique and delightful world ready to be explored by your imagination, and all believing fairies out there desiring a utopia masterfully created just for them !!Fairy Village is cover to cover smiles. It is great for your living room, and a great gift idea !
this was a huge disappointment- should have known better as i have other works by them - the pictures are all jumbled together and nothing is clear as to whet it is all about - the pictures are so poorly lit and arranged that nothing is seen as a single item it is all pushed and shoved together - -i have many books on fairy villages and houses that are clear as day - do not waste your money on this pile of riff-raff - lots of moss and there are pages and pages of information i guess about the authors - boring - they should write a book about themselves if it is that important-it is not for us - my friend tore them out right away and tossed them - who cares a paragraph is plenty - the publisher made a huge mistake or maybe has not seen the wonderful fairy books that tell everything you need to know - there are a lot of really good ones out there check them out and skip this one - you will not be sorry !!! a true fairy lover - just looked at it again and the cover is dirty - that goes right with the rest of it- - -
This book is amazing--every page a work of art! It definitely honors nature in a beautiful imaginative manner. Probably the best book I've ever seen produced (and that’s over the entire length of my very busy publishing career as a managing editor, now retired). Received my copy via sister who lives on the Long Beach Peninsula (Washington) where the book was written and produced. Most of the materials were gathered there, and it is truly a magical place. As authors, Debbie & Mike Schramer make the magic blossom. Just ordered 10 books as a way of saying thank you to 10 individuals/families making a difference in life. Thank you, Mike & Debbie, and congratulations on a great book! Best regards, LisaC
Opening this beautiful book is like stepping into another world... be prepared to fall in love with all things fairy. Mike and Debbie Schramer have a way of taking you on a journey unlike any other. The stories, the pictures, the art! There are many fairy books out there, but this one takes you right into that realm of make believe, or is it? I truly think I saw one years ago and wandering through the pages of this book only confirms to me, that magical world exists. Thank you for bringing that to life so brilliantly! What fun this couple have had and I loved reading about their lives... they have helped guide us mere mortals into that wonderful world. This amazing book will turn you on to what might just be out there. When you take your next venture into nature, be it with your child, grandchild or just alone, you will never look at the woods quite the same again. Only a troll would snub their nose at this magical work. A must read if you want to believe! Thank you Debbie and Mike for spreading the word... for they just might be amongst us.
This book is gorgeous! The spine is faux leather with gold foil detailing, and there's a large gatefold that folds out to reveal the entire village. Every page is packed with photos of the Schramer's adorable miniatures and even some original drawings. There are so many details to pore over—it's a real delight from cover to cover.
This book is absolutely beautiful from the first page to the last. The photos are clear and crisp and Incredibly vibrant. There is impeccable attention to detail on each page, With magical stories woven through out , and delightful little special touches that add to whimsy and enchantment. Truly one of the most beautiful books I have ever seen !
This is a beautiful book! I enjoy going back to it again and again to look at the intricately designed rooms! My husband, the scientist, has also enjoyed it. I know our grandchildren will pour over it for hours as they did their previous book, Fairy House. Thank you for such an imaginative creation!!
