Each recipe has a picture of the final results. This is a beautiful book. Once again though Amazon delivers a book with the front pages damaged this makes me so mad, because every book I own I take care of them. I don't like my pages to be slightly torn and wrinkled. .

this was a huge disappointment- should have known better as i have other works by them - the pictures are all jumbled together and nothing is clear as to whet it is all about - the pictures are so poorly lit and arranged that nothing is seen as a single item it is all pushed and shoved together - -i have many books on fairy villages and houses that are clear as day - do not waste your money on this pile of riff-raff - lots of moss and there are pages and pages of information i guess about the authors - boring - they should write a book about themselves if it is that important-it is not for us - my friend tore them out right away and tossed them - who cares a paragraph is plenty - the publisher made a huge mistake or maybe has not seen the wonderful fairy books that tell everything you need to know - there are a lot of really good ones out there check them out and skip this one - you will not be sorry !!! a true fairy lover - just looked at it again and the cover is dirty - that goes right with the rest of it- - -

The stories, the pictures, the art! There are many fairy books out there, but this one takes you right into that realm of make believe, or is it? This book is gorgeous! The spine is faux leather with gold foil detailing, and there's a large gatefold that folds out to reveal the entire village. Every page is packed with photos of the Schramer's adorable miniatures and even some original drawings. There are so many details to pore over—it's a real delight from cover to cover.

There is impeccable attention to detail on each page, With magical stories woven through out , and delightful little special touches that add to whimsy and enchantment. This is one book I will keep after taking ECE classes. Lots of great information.
This is a good textbook. It is relatively easy to read. My only problems was that it lists materials to include in specific studies of science, but does not tell you where they can be found.

I only have one beef about this book: the price. This book is only 192 pages long but costs more than some 500 page hardback college books. Normally, it would kill this book's buying appeal. Fortunately, this is worth it. Hands Down.Separated into three sections, this book begins in the most obvious place: understanding the scientific mind of child. It then moves to environment, curriculum, and stage-setting for scientific inquiry. Then it ends with the "how-to" about putting science in the early childhood classroom. Short. Sweet. Simple, but EXTREMELY Detailed.You know the best part about this book? Again, its simplicity of words. You don't always need 600 pages to teach a teacher how to impliment a strategy in his/her classroom. Sometimes it takes a few pages (like this one).Give it a try. It may be a little pricey, but I truly believe tha the superb content will soften that blow.
This book is perfect for an elementary school teacher or science teacher. The book talks about the underlying processes that enable each child to learn in their own unique way. Teachers can take the information presented in this book and prepare science lessons that support the learning capabilities of the children. This book also presents numerous case studies and scenarios that give readers a variety of lesson plan ideas while at the same time explain HOW AND WHY the lesson plans best support the children. I am an education major and have found this book to be a wonderful resource for my studies. I know that I will also use this book when I become a teacher and need to put some wonderful ideas into practice.
I have not been reading this long but for a uni text book it is very interesting it gives you an idea of how to intergate science into an early childhood setting.

Went to bed last night and had to finish it this morning. Extremely witty, the story describes rather naive conceptions of western people becoming Buddhist monks in search of ultimate reality. It gives some funny insights into the realm of the monastic life in Dharamsala, but is rather colored by the simple ideas of the author and his companions in his journey to enlightenment. So, though not very spirituality deep, extremely entertaining and full of delightful descriptions of Indian life.
One of the best books I've ever read. Beautiful, elegantly written, superb vocabulary, plot and a thoroughly otherworldly experience. Recommend it to all who love literature and life. ☺ï¸
I get nostalgic for India and Nepal whenever I read this... encapsulates the quirky cultural experiences of travel and study of Buddhism. .. ah.
